Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to plan trips and track expenses with RouteGenius, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which also covers Israeli Standard 5568 and the European standard EN 301 549.

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and a “Skip to content” link jumps past the header.
• Buttons, links and form fields have names that screen readers announce, including buttons that only show an icon.
• Text and icons have enough contrast with their background, in both light and dark mode.
• The trip page's tabs work with the arrow keys, Home and End, as screen-reader users expect.
• Progress and results of imports are announced as they change.
• On touch screens, buttons are at least 44 pixels tall, a comfortable size for a finger.
• Animations stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
• Driving routes are also given as text (time and distance per day and between stops), not only on a map.
• Pages work when zoomed and on narrow screens, without scrolling sideways.
• The app is available in English and Hebrew, with a right-to-left layout in Hebrew.

• The day maps come from Google Maps and are not fully accessible to screen readers. Everything they show is also listed as text.
• Sign-in and account pages are provided by our sign-in service (Clerk). We chose it partly for its accessibility, but don't control its pages.
